Some of us are very good at waiting, particularly if we have held
onto a dream or a particular desire for a long time. We have become
accustomed to waiting, and so it is no difficulty to wait a little bit
longer. However, some of us are just crazy when we have to wait.
Usually, these are the people who are good at getting things done, are
never at a loss for words or something to fix a problem, and who are
doers rather than thinkers or talkers.
Of course, there are times when you may use waiting as an excuse, but
more often than not, you are simply not ready, emotionally,
psychologically, or the timing just isn’t right in your mind, and so
waiting is still a good default position to take if you are unsure about
something.
Waiting is a very good tolerance to have when you are a schedule
oriented person and things don’t turn out exactly like you would like
for them to turn out. You may be rather obsessed about keeping to your
schedule, but there are times when waiting is good, and it may be a
chance for you to get something else done (or to relax and catch your
breath) while you are waiting, perhaps less than patiently.
At work, you have to put up with a lot of hurry-up-and-wait
situations if you have to depend upon other people who are less
ambitious or simply less obviously active than you are. If you have
methodical team members, you may be the go-and-get-it guy and other
members of your team may comprise of the thoughtful creative and the
ambitiously cautious sides of the equation. Everyone is needed, but you
may understand your strengths a little better now.
If you find one or more of your employees behaving in a suspiciously
impatient manner, such as being jittery, ultra high energy for hours on
time, and unable to focus clearly, they may be under the influence of
illicit drugs while at work. This is a dangerous situation which
requires your immediate attention. Mediscreen provides your company with
NATA accredited medical testing, using our extensive drug testing knowledgebase, and our high quality customer service. If you are looking for onsite drug testing and alcohol for your own business.
